One of my recent projects is Web414 - Milwaukee's Web Community...
(It grew out of the Milwaukee Web Design Meetup group. We've left Meetup and are on our own now. I mean, we're web folks, we can do everything the Meetup site did, right?)
Typically we meet every second Thursday of the month at 7PM, and we'll discuss what's going on around the web, do demos, presentations, etc. It's pretty casual... There's a mix of professionals and amateurs in the group, and I'm hoping to see it really grow in 2007.
